Nashville, TN Wedding Photographer | Caitlin + Jordan's Wedding at Five Star Retreat in Nunnelly, TN
Caitlin + Jordan are a match made in music heaven! Caitlin (Tennessee) and Jordan (North Carolina) met on a karaoke night and have been making perfect music together ever since.
We found out during their engagement session that they only live like 5 minutes from me and we have some mutual friends - small world.
They are the sweetest couple! They’re the type of people you can be around for about 5 minutes and think, “They’re good people.”
Even more proof of it was made when I bought some things that Caitlin was selling shortly after my niece passed away. I went ahead and sent her the money but I told her it would be a bit before I could pick up the stuff. I was really busy with work and the kids’ sports and just running like crazy. She came to my house that night around 8:30. Left my things in my car along with an extra little gift and a handwritten note letting me know that she was thinking of me. This was after just meeting me once.
See… good people.
Their wedding took place at the stunning Five Star Retreat in Nunnelly, TN.
I’m crazy over these wedding details. My favorite color right now is sage and this wedding had the perfect balance sage and white!
Caitlin was so super calm while getting ready for big day. I’m not surprised though. She and Jordan are so comfortable with one another, you would think they’ve been married for 30 years already.
Grab your tissues… Caitlin and Jordan’s first look will absolutely tug at your heart strings. Make sure you pay close attention to the gift she gave him!
Typically you have one or two entertainers in every bridal party, but this one was FILLED with them. These guys & gals were a blast. I told Mom after the wedding that I’m going to have to message Caitlin and Jordan to see when they can take Michael and I out on the town! They’re people are definitely my kind of people!
At the ceremony, Caitlin and Jordan mixed soil from Tennessee and South Carolina for a tree that will be planted at their home.
Again, Caitlin and Jordan’s chemistry is absolutely undeniable and I love every single one of their portraits together because of it.
The reception was seriously as much fun as it looked!
The maid of honor’s toast was beautifully thought out and you could easily see her love for Caitlin and her hubby.
The best man’s toast - This guy - I think he could for real do stand up. He had everyone doubled over laughing and he hardly ever cracked a smile. It was such a great opening to the evening.
And the dancing…
So much dancing!
The National Anthem was sung (and I have since had a military wedding where I coerced some of the guys into singing it, because it’s just fun AND makes for awesome video).
And of course, I cried again when Jordan had his “first dance” with his mama. Being a boy momX2 has really made me think about these special dances. And when I saw Jordan’s mom in tears, holding to her baby boy (that now towers over her), it was all I could do to stifle the sobs and not ugly cry right there. I love that they are so, so close and they are definitely my mother/son goals. Pay attention to Caitlin watching them in the background and then Caitlin and her new MIL embracing one another after the dance. Seriously y'all, I was wrecked!
Caitlin + Jordan - thank you so so much for having me photograph your wedding! I have loved getting to know both of you and I’m serious… double date soon??? ;-)
