Maternity sessions are some of my absolute favorites. I am love building relationships and getting to know people. Maternity photography is another way for me to meet up with clients in such a special season of their lives and hop on to join them in their journey. Truer words have never been spoken that when a child is born, a mother is born as well, (and father, too! Can’t leave them out ;-))!
The most popular question I get asked regarding maternity sessions is “when is the right time?”. We definitely don’t want to wait too close to that due date or chance Mama not being very comfy during her session. Growing a human is HARD WORK and I do my very best to make sure that we allow plenty of time for that sweet little bump to pop out without waiting too long. 28-34 weeks is ideal depending on how you’re feeling and the specific details of your pregnancy.
Mamas can choose a range packages that either specify a specific location - such as the studio or our farm property. There are also packages that include both locations. If you have a specific location that you are in love with, I’m happy to travel out to you! There may be a travel fee depending on location, but I’m to provide you a quote for that beforehand. Investments for maternity range from 225-650.
After securing your session date, it’s time for all the fun. You will receive a detailed prep guide to make planning for your session easy-peasy!
I encourage my mama’s to splurge just a bit on themselves before their big day. A mani/pedi can make a world of difference in how you feel during this time. If you are coming from the Dickson area, I highly recommend Bloom Day Spa. They have THE BEST staff and the most relaxing atmosphere. It’s one of my very favorite places to spend a rare moment of free time.
We also have top notch hair & make up artists! Stevie, Brittany or Hope will gladly come into the studio to pamper you before your session while you eat snacks and girl talk! My Client Closet is available to all of my clients. I have a variety of gorgeous gowns to fit all shapes and sizes. The Client Closet is always hit and it’s a way to stay frugal with you overall session costs as well (your partner will be THRILLED that you didn’t have to go out and buy a new wardrobe for one photoshoot!). Feel free to set up an appointment and drop by the studio before your session to try on dresses and make sure you love how they look!
